Turbo Upgrade GT17 to TD04 ‑04, Saab 9‑5

Near perfect
Ordered this kit for my ´98 Saab. Delivery was fast and parts were well packed. While checking the list noticed some missing items. Nothing critical though, just a couple of stickers. No big deal, everything else was there.

Installation was a pretty straightforward procedure, took about 6-7 hours in a relaxed pace. Programming the new software took a bit over an hour to complete, but went without any error messages. Car started and worked better than before the change. Enjoyable drive!

But then some criticism too. The kit could include as default the installation kit(nuts, washers and pin bolts) and the gasket kit. The ventilation adapter installation required cutting the original piping to fit the tube/adapter. Would be easier to make a selectable option menu under the turbo set itself for parts needed. Quicker and easier for the customer to choose correct parts from the start without need of browsing them separately.

The MaptunerX was easy to use, after you digged up instructions from the internet(MapTun page). No instructions came with the device itself, which is a small minus.

Overall I am very happy with the product and service in general. Can recommend the turbo kit to anyone upgrading from the Garret to Aero standard. Car changes to the better by a large margin!
